Infinite scroll
More content loads automatically as you reach the bottom, with no page buttons.
When to use it
- Feeds and image walls that people browse without a goal
- On phones, where scrolling is more natural than tapping page numbers
When not to
- Lists where people look for a specific record or return to a place: use pagination
- Pages with important links in the footer, which can never be reached
What to tell an AI tool
Use infinite scroll for the feed: load the next batch automatically near the bottom, show "Loading more" while it loads, and keep a back-to-top button.
